I'm Marco, an Indonesian who regularly come to the Düsseldorf boot show every Year for 12 years now. On a visit in January 2024, I'got my self and my friend a rented Airbnb in the area of Alt-Niederkassel, which is precisely next to this La Casetta restaurant One night after the exhibition work was finished I returned to our Airbnb and felt hungry, remembering about a restaurant located near where I live, I immediately rushed to the restaurant but without making a reservation in advance, La Casetta restaurant was full of people having dinner, of course I didn't get a seat and the restaurant owner apologized that the restaurant was full that night. Almosy every time on my way back to the AirBnb I pass in front of this particular restaurant. I saw that the restaurant was very busy. Many people came and ate there. I didn't get the chance to get the number for a reservation due to our busy schedule. Time passed, few days latter another night with empty stomach after a tiring busy day and hadn't eaten so I tried to go there taking the risk and quite sure that I would definitely not be accepted because I didn't have a reservation. but this time I was lucky because the owner of the restaurant immediately welcomed me and remembered that I had been there before but couldn't get any seat. He immediately seated me without a reservation and apologized for sending me home when the restaurant was full the other night. He said that he remembered a message from his father who is also a chef to never refuse a hungry customer. I was very touched by the kindness of this restaurant owner and he made me a custom menu that's change my mood and day, it was super delicious. Latter i found out that It turns out he works with his wife in that small and beautiful restaurant together. Him as a chef and his wife as waiter and cashier. I was served with a super delicious italian appetizer, main course and dessert menu. I was overwhelmed and satisfied with the hospitality of this couple. He even presents me with a bottle of wine. His name is Mario. With this, i can say he is the best Italian chef that i know in my life. Thanks alot for the best dinner memory. 1000% Recommend

It was a very nice dinner. The owner is super gentle and accommodated us very well. Important to book in advance. Great food, good wine and excellent appetizers. attention as cash only/no credit cards at least the day I have been there.

We had a lovely evening at this restaurant. The food options and quality were very good. Our hosts, Mario and his wife, were very friendly and they welcomed us very sincerely, as if we know them. We will go back again. We had a very enjoyable evening with a very nice atmosphere. Booking is essential.
